Man held in Sunday night shooting death

Police in Vancouver, Wash., arrested a 23-year-old man Wednesday night in connection with Sunday's shooting death of Leonard James 'LJ' Irving in Northeast Portland.
Isaiah Eric Mandley Jr. is being held in Clark County, Wash., on charges of murder and attempted murder. He was taken into custody at about 10:15 p.m. Wednesday in a Vancouver, Wash., apartment on Northeast 138th Avenue.
Portland Gang Enforcement Team detectives believe Mandley is the suspect in Irving's shooting early Sunday morning, June 26. Officers from the North Precinct found the 34-year-old man's body at about 12:37 a.m. Sunday near Northeast 82nd Avenue and Thompson Street.
When officers arrived in the area, they found 21-year-old Lamar Lovette Hill suffering from a gunshot wound to the neck. Later that morning, 21-year-old Jeray Lashawn Jessie walked into an area hospital with a gunshot wound to his forearm.
Detectives are still investigating the circumstances of the shootings.
