Landing on the lake
- Lake Oswego Review - News
This seaplane landed twice Tuesday afternoon on Oswego Lake. According to resident Tia Jakotich, who has lived on the lake for 17 years, 'it landed unexpectedly on the west end of the main lake. It stayed around for about eight minutes, turned around and took off heading east. About 10 minutes later, it landed once again on the west end of main lake, turned around and took off heading east one more time. The lake patrol tried to approach the plane but kept its distance when it began to take off for the second time.' After contacting the Lake Corp's Lake Patrol, Jakotich said she asked if the landings were planned; she was told the lake patrol 'had no prior knowledge of the landing.' Efforts to get a statement from the Lake Corp were unsuccessful as of the Review's Wednesday deadline.
