Paying tribute

Former Lake Oswego Mayors Alice Schlenker and Herald C. Campbell flank Nancy Headlee, director of the Oswego Heritage Council, in admiring a plaque the council unveiled commemorating the former Murphy Real Estate Building at 47 N. State St. The site was the former Paul Murphy Real Estate Building and later the Helen R. Millette and Associates Real Estate Co., and later became a real estate company operated by Nancy Headlee's parents, the late William 'Bill' and Elizabeth 'Buzz' Headlee - the Headlee Company. The commemoration ceremony on Sept. 23 had between 35 and 40 people participate.
