A West Linn man died in his car after pulling over at the Willamette viewpoint rest stop on Interstate 205 today.
West Linn Police Sgt. Neil Hennelly said authorities are not releasing the 49-year-old man's name until family members are all notified but confirmed he was a local resident.
Police believe the man suffered some sort of medical emergency while on his way to play golf.
'We're still trying to determine what happened, but no foul play is suspected at all,' Hennelly said.
Part of the freeway's northbound section was closed during the initial investigation.
