Donald and Anna Marie Jones
Donald and Anna Marie (Salerno) Jones of Gresham will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, July 9, with an afternoon party at Persimmon Country Club with their children, grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
In honor of their mother and grandmother's commitment to music education, some of the children and grandchildren will perform music at the celebration.
Don and Anna Marie were married July 8, 1961, at the First Baptist Church in Pocatello, Idaho. Their reception was held at the Bannock Hotel.
Don is a retired soil conservation scientist and worked for the Bureau of Indian Affairs. He is a member of the Elks, an avid golfer and a member of Persimmon Country Club.
Anna Marie is a retired music teacher who taught in the Gresham and Beaverton school districts. She is also an avid golfer and member of Persimmon Country Club, and past president of the Ladies Golf League.
Don and Anna Marie's children are Brenda Gradin of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Cheryl Swain of Denver, Colo., Brian Jones of Vancouver, Wash., and Darrin Jones of Salem. They also have five grandchildren.
Robert and Mary Stephenson
Robert and Mary (Hull) Stephenson of Gresham will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary.
They were married July 14, 1951, in Vancouver, Wash.
Robert served in the Army National Guard for 16 years. He retired from Wagner Mining Co. and then worked for the Reynolds School District bus barn.
Mary was a homemaker and took care of the children during Robert's long guard trips.
Robert and Mary's children are Leroy Stephenson of Portland, Sandra Stewart of Gresham and Cheryl North of Gresham. They have four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
