UPDATE: Father finds missing Clackamas boy

by: submitted photo WILLIAM MAINGI

A former Rowe Middle School classmate saw a story about a missing Clackamas boy on Clackamasreview.com on July 12 and found out he was staying with friends in Milwaukie.

Fifteen-year-old William Maingi ran away from home on June 18, and his father did not hear from him for almost a month.

Maingi's father Eric Senga had hoped Maingi was still in the Clackamas/Milwaukie area being sheltered by some friends.

Nicknamed Will, Maingi was a freshman at Clackamas High School this past year, and he attended Rowe before that.

Maingi was last seen in the 13000 block of SE 139th Avenue in Clackamas around 4:30 p.m. carrying a red backpack with blue accents. He was wearing a hooded USC Trojans sweatshirt, jeans and black basketball shoes with white stripes.

He was also carrying a basketball and was supposed to be attending basketball camp this summer.
