Gresham High graduate earns scholarship
Louisiana-Pacific Corporation has named Samuel Naydiuk, son of LP employee Gregory Naydiuk and his wife, Sheila, a recipient of the 2011 LP Scholarship.
The annual $1,500 award is renewable for three additional years, for a total of $6,000.
Samuel is a graduate of Gresham High School. Fifteen children of LP employees across the United States and Canada were awarded the scholarships this year. Recipients are selected because of their academic record, leadership, community involvement, goals and aspirations.

Documentary showcases Reynolds students
MetroEast Community Media presented a special documentary on June 13, showcasing a project completed by the Life Skills Pre-Vocation class of Reynolds High School.
The film was made by students and teachers and featured the making of dog biscuits. The proceeds will be used for the students' community outings during the school year. The project also served as a job readiness activity.
The screening of the film coincided with another film screening co-hosted with Reynolds High students and Free Arts NW at MetroEast Community Media. It will be shown on various cable channels managed by MetroEast Community Media on the Comcast and Frontier cable systems.
