Summer concerts at Meinig Park in Sandy begin this Sunday at the amphitheater stage with a one-of-a-kind duo, the Shook Twins, performing folk with a twist. Katelyn plays the guitar, glockenspiel and mandolin, sings opera into a telephone and clucks like a chicken. Laurie plays wah-wah banjo, bass, ocarina and percussion, and loops various melodies and beats. Together they sing in twin harmony, which is a completely different sound from non-twin harmony. The free, 90-minute show begins at 6:30 p.m. and is for the whole family. Bench seating is provided; bring a blanket or a stadium chair for comfort. The parking lot on Meinig Avenue will be under construction, so allow extra time for parking. For more information, call 503-668-2827.
