William Macpherson died Dec. 13, 2007. He was 84.
Mr. Macpherson was born to Thomas Henry Cummings Macpherson and Elizabeth Robb Macpherson on Jan. 23, 1923, in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Mr. Macpherson served as a pilot with the Royal Air Force during WWII. Following the war, he immigrated to the United States to pursue a career in construction, mining and chemical engineering.
He married Barbara Jane Fry in 1959; the couple divorced in 1985.
Mr. Macpherson moved to the West Linn area in 1993 to be closer to his son's family.
Survivors include his son Tom Macpherson of Beavercreek, daughters Elizabeth Amirghahari and Jennifer Macpherson of Lake Front, Calif., and brothers James Macpherson, Ian Macpherson and Sandy Macpherson of Edinburgh, Scotland, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A private service will be held in Scotland at a later date.
Wendy Lee Polzen died Dec. 15, 2007 of causes related to cancer. She was 54.
Mrs. Polzen was born March 23, 1953, to Fred E. and Helen (Hall) Polzen in Oregon City. She was raised in the West Linn/Willamette area and attended West Linn High School. She earned certifications in production and inventory control from Clackamas Community College.
During her professional career, she worked for electronic businesses doing inventory control.
Her son Aaron Quigley of Salem, brother Mike Grady of Federal Way, Wash., survives Mrs. Polzen, along with sisters Carolynne Lewis of LaPine, Mary McNeil of St. Helens, and Jean Elmore of McMinnville.
A celebration of life memorial gathering will be held at a later date.

Service set for Milton Russell
A memorial service for Milton LeRoy Russell will be held Friday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at Church of the Resurrection, 21060 S.W. Stafford Road in Tualatin, 97082. A reception will follow.
It is requested that no flowers be sent to the church.
