Information from the public safety column comes from the records of the Lake Oswego Police Department. Police recently filed reports on the following incidents:

12/13/07 1:34 p.m. On Phantom Bluff, two people were involved in a collision and one person was injured. One of the drivers was cited for making a dangerous left turn.

12/13/07 12:06 a.m. Summer Kathleen Price, 28, was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor driving while suspended on State Street.

12/10/07 11:15 p.m. Julia R. Jansen, 25, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Third Street.

12/15/07 1:19 a.m. Troy H. Wallin, 37, was arrested on suspicion of DUII on Overlook Drive.

12/10/07 3:05 p.m. Two vehicles, a Jeep Laredo and Chevy Tahoe, were broken into on Rembrandt Lane. Cash and a stereo faceplate were taken. The thieves attempted to take the whole stereo from the Jeep.

12/13/07 3:02 p.m. A UPS package was allegedly stolen from a doorstep on Eaglecrest Drive. The package was later found on Boones Ferry Road and returned to the caller.

12/11/07 8:04 a.m. The driver's side window of a vehicle on Kruse Oaks Drive was broken and thieves stole a digital camera and CDs.

12/12/07 5:24 p.m. A gold Honda Accord was broken into on South State Street. A backpack, work clothes and medications were stolen.

12/13/07 8:05 a.m. A Federal Express package was taken from the front porch of a home on Goodall Road. The package contained a wrought iron sculpture valued at $350.

12/15/07 10:55 a.m. An inflatable Grinch was stolen from a front yard on Tamaway Drive. A tree and presents were also stolen. The total loss was $130.

12/08/07 11:45 p.m. A dark-colored Land Rover with one headlight was driving down the middle of the road on Fifth Street. It was occupied by two young males.

12/09/07 12:02 a.m. At a Bank of America on Bryant Road, a man was standing at the ATM and tried to kick another man while he was getting money. The kicker was described as 45 years old, wearing a light blue coat.

12/09/07 1:46 a.m. A caller reported hearing three shots about 10 minutes earlier, in the area of South Shore and Greentree. Officers didn't see or hear anything.

12/09/07 At Archie's Pub on A Avenue, there were three people talking about how fast they were going to drive home. Officers checked the pub but couldn't find the individuals.

12/09/07 8:43 a.m. A coyote was seen in the area of Hallinan Street. A caller said the coyote was consuming small animals and pets.

12/09/07 9:16 a.m. A child was heard whispering on a 9-1-1 call, saying he was in Wyoming and needed help. Police were not able to call the child back.

12/09/07 10:22 a.m. A woman reported her husband threw her to the ground twice. Officers contacted the woman and man and determined no crime occurred.

12/09/07 11:59 a.m. A woman on Preakness Court reported she had received two strange notes on her door regarding her now-deceased husband. An officer found that the notes had come from the building's homeowners association.

12/09/07 1:07 p.m. A man reported he had been receiving calls from an unknown subject accusing him of hiding his daughter. The calls were coming from a cell phone in Vancouver.

12/09/07 2:14 p.m. A woman reported she found a wallet in Portland belonging to another woman. An officer located the owner and returned the wallet.

12/09/07 4:53 p.m. On Springbrook Court, a person complained that his neighbor's dogs, which were in an outdoor kennel, had been barking since 6 that morning. The dogs didn't bark when an officer approached, but the officer said he would follow-up.

12/10/07 8:02 a.m. A woman was seen stopped in a traffic lane on Boones Ferry Road, vomiting.

12/10/07 8:42 a.m. A reckless driver in a Porsche was seen tailgating on Rosemont Road.

12/10/07 9:03 a.m. A bucket of nails fell off the back of a truck on Boones Ferry Road. The nails were spread all over the roadway.

12/10/07 11:23 a.m. There was a report of a 'confident coyote' in the area of Glenwood Court, according to a police report.

12/10/07 5:48 p.m. A man reported that he bumped a pedestrian with his car on Crestfield Court. The pedestrian said she was fine and had already left when he called police.

12/10/07 6:34 p.m. A man said he was nearly hit by a navy blue SUV on Bonita Road, while crossing a crosswalk.

12/10/07 11:24 p.m. On Botticelli Street, a man found a car was open and unlocked and 'personal stuff was all over the car.' The stuff belonged to someone else.

12/11/07 5:12 a.m. A loud humming noise was heard inside a woman's home on Briercliff Lane. The noise stopped while she was on the phone with police.

12/11/07 11:02 a.m. A dog named Rocky arrived at a woman's house on Foothills Drive. The woman said it was not her dog and she was frustrated that the dog continually runs loose.

12/11/07 11:16 a.m. A man said her neighbor has been stalking him and harassing his girlfriend. The man and his girlfriend had asked the man to stop. Police told him to keep a log of the incidents.

12/12/07 2:33 a.m. A resident on Overlook Drive thought there was someone inside the house and called police. Police couldn't find anyone.

12/12/07 4:35 p.m. After writing a check to a magazine solicitor in August, a person on Eighth Street said he had not received the magazines and he could not reach anyone with the company that sold the subscriptions.

12/12/07 5:19 p.m. A green Volvo with expired tags was seen up on a jack on Hallinan Circle. An officer contacted the owner, who said he would move the car and get current license plate tags.

12/12/07 9:18 a.m. A suspicious male was seen walking down Wembley Park Road. He was carrying a hiking pack and wearing khaki clothing.

12/12/07 10:58 a.m. A spokesman for the city's maintenance services department reported that paint had been dumped into a storm drain on Cedar Street. The city investigated the source of the spill.

12/12/07 12:49 p.m. At a home on Buckingham Terrace, Lake Oswego police assisted with getting a handyman off a roof where he was stuck.

12/12/07 1:49 p.m. On Second Street, an officer cited a car owner for parking in an intersection and parking within 20 feet of a crosswalk.

12/12/07 2:31 p.m. A Honda CRV was the subject of a hit and run on Fourth Street. There was damage to the right rear side.

12/12/07 3:07 p.m. A woman reported that her Oregon driver's license had been lost, but she retracted the report when the ID was found at a local Rite-Aid.

12/12/07 3:40 p.m. A cat was seen under a boat at the boathouse on Lake Shore Road. An officer assisted in rescuing the cat.

12/12/07 6:06 p.m. There was a report of construction work on Berwick Road that had been continuing after hours. An officer found no noise when he arrived, and workers said they had already talked with the complainant.

12/12/07 6:32 p.m. A woman complained that another car had tapped her vehicle and left the area. An officer contacted the other car's owner and determined there was no crime and no damage to the cars.

12/13/07 4:28 a.m. Hearing footsteps outside her home, a woman called police and said she was concerned they might be coming from her ex-husband. She had a restraining order on him. A few minutes later, the woman said she realized the footsteps were from her ex-boyfriend. Police contacted him and gave him a warning against trespassing and telephone harassment.

12/13/07 5:43 a.m. Police received a complaint that an Oregonian driver was on the wrong side of the road and running stop signs on Canyon Drive.

12/13/07 2:07 p.m. A man who received a parking ticket for a no-parking area said he was confused about what area was posted as no parking.

12/13/07 6:42 p.m. Police responded to a report of a dog stuck in a cellar at a construction site. Fire department crews responded and assisted with getting the dog out of the cellar. The dog was returned to its owner.

12/13/07 9:09 p.m. There was a possible drunken driver that left a location on Maple Circle. The caller said the driver was in a Prius and had been drinking and using prescription drugs.

12/13/07 9:43 a.m. A caller said the neighbor's dog attacked his dog. There was a minor injury to the caller's dog, but no treatment needed, according to police.

12/13/07 6:55 p.m. Picketers on Second Street reportedly made threats to a caller's co-worker. As picketers were leaving, one said 'We'll see you later' to the co-worker.

12/14/07 3:56 p.m. At State Street Liquors, an older male fell in the parking lot while getting into his Lexus. The caller was afraid he had been drinking. Police investigated and found he fell due to a bad knee.

12/15/07 7:22 a.m. At the Shell station on Boones Ferry Road, an officer was flagged down. The person who flagged down the officer said the station was closed, which seemed unusual. Turned out the employee had been in the rest room.

12/15/07 10:08 a.m. In an apparent suicide attempt, a woman took 19 muscle relaxant pills. She was transported voluntarily to a local hospital.

12/15/07 11:05 a.m. Threatening phone calls from an unknown person were made to a complainant. There was also damage to the person's lawn ornament and a fake snowman's head had been cut off. Police said there was no apparent link between the prank phone call and the lawn ornament damage.

12/15/07 5:42 p.m. A man who lives on F Avenue said a neighbor had just yelled 'I'll kill you' twice to his daughter. This was part of an ongoing problem, the caller said.

12/15/07 6:32 p.m. A woman reported that her ex-husband was at her house and was not supposed to be. Matthew Siemsen, 31, was cited and released for second-degree criminal trespassing.
