Man charged after collision on 181st Avenue
Gresham Police charged William Ray Rogers, 38, of Milwaukie, with third-degree assault, reckless driving, reckless endangering, second-degree criminal mischief and driving under the influence of intoxicants in connection with a collision Wednesday, Dec. 26, at the intersection of 181st Avenue and Halsey Street.
According to police, Rogers was intoxicated and speeding in his pickup on northbound 181st Avenue when he collided with a tractor-trailer attempting to turn left from the opposite side of the street. Rogers and his passenger, John William Doolin, 19, of Portland, were taken to Emanuel Hospital and Health Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the tractor-trailer, William F. Bradshaw, 54, of Vancouver, was not injured.
