Portland bomb squad said to bottle bombs were left on 105th Avenue.
Tualatin Police and the Portland Bomb Squad were called to a home in the 17000 block of 107th Avenue Saturday afternoon after two plastic bottles were found containing a green liquid substance.
A Tualatin man told police he found the bottles at Western Wood Structures, 20675 SW 105th Ave. and brought them home to dispose of them.
The man called police after he opened the bottles and noticed a very strong chemical odor, police said.
Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue was called in to identify the liquid substance, which was causing the bottles to expand. When TVF and R could not identify the substance, the Portland Bomb Squad was called to the scene.
The bomb squad safely blew up both bottles and determined that the substance was Drano drain cleaner, which is commonly used to create bottle bombs.
Police searched the property surrounding Western Wood Structures, but did not find any other suspicious bottles.
There is no suspect information at this time.
