Police chase leads to crash

Suspect was on probation and had a suspended license.

A car chase involving Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies Saturday morning ended when the fleeing vehicle nearly crashed into a residence in Milwaukie.

The Sheriff's Office said that about 4 a.m. on Saturday a deputy attempted to pull over a black Cadillac on SE McLoughlin street near Gladstone for a traffic infraction. The Cadillac didn't stop, deputies say, and a chase ensued.

The vehicle traveled North to Courtney Avenue in Milwaukie, and the car crashed on the 1400 block of that street, ending the chase.

The driver of the vehicle, Bobby Alexander, 24, is a registered sex offender on probation "for tampering with a witness and eluding an officer." He also has a suspended license.

He and Crystal Milsbury, 20, the passenger in the vehicle during the pursuit, were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Sheriff's Office is considering charges of DUII, 3rd-degree assault, attempting to elude an officer and criminal mischief, but no arrests have been made.
