Lake Oswego joins Backyard Wildlife Habitat Program

Here's a way for Lake Oswego residents to attract more birds and butterflies to their yard.

Starting next month, Lake Oswego residents can take advantage of the Backyard Wildlife Habitat Program offered by the Audubon Society of Portland.

The Audubon program, a partnership with the city of Lake Oswego and Friends of Tryon Creek State Park, provides residents with hour-long site visits from technicians. The technicians will assess residents' yards for invasive and native plants, providing advice on how to create healthy and safe habitat for wildlife.

The program costs $25.
