During his lunch hour Friday, West Linn City Councilor Mike Jones chats with a resident using Skype, a largely free software application that lets users make video and phone calls and talk online. Jones will also be available on Skype from noon to 1 p.m. Aug. 5 and 19. You can talk to him with or without a camera. Either way, you'll first need to download Skype at www.skype.com. Then, search for 'CityOfWestLinn' and add the city as a contact. Log in when Jones is supposed to be online and call him using the CityOfWestLinn user name.
