King City Lions make changes to annual flea market sale

The King City Lions Club has scheduled its 30th annual summer sale, a summer staple for bargains hunters in the region.

For this year, however, the club has announced some changes to the event formerly known as a 'Flea Market,' to become 'The King City Lions Summer Market Place.'

This two day event will take place on Friday and Saturday July 28 - 29 and it will be located at King City Town Hall, 15245 SW 116th Avenue in King City, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days.

The Lions will also have a refreshment booth with hot dogs with all the trimmings, cold drinks, cinnamon rolls and coffee.

This year's event promises to be one of the best ever, with over 60 exhibitors many treasures are to be found. Tables are still available for rent, $50 for both days. An eight foot table, $15, Chairs are $3 each. For exhibitor reservations call Marianne Pfeiffer at 503-620-3738.

Since 1967 the King City Lions have given more than $950,000 to local charities, as well as the Oregon Lions Sight and Hearing Foundation.
