Find a ball, get 2 free tickets to Coventry match
Next time you find the neighbor kid's soccer ball in your bushes, take a closer look - you might have won Timbers tickets.
On Thursday morning, the Portland Timbers soccer team plans to hide 50 soccer balls around Portland, each one good for two free tickets to the team's Saturday match against England's Coventry City, part of the Coca-Cola Championship league.
The team says it will hide the balls at businesses, restaurants and "other strategic places" in the city.
The Nike soccer balls are inscribed with the words "You Just Scored" and instructions on how to redeem them for tickets at PGE Park. If you can't spot a hidden ball, head to PGE Park and take a guess at how many the team has stashed in the ticket booth at the corner of S.W. 18th Avenue and S.W. Morrison Street. You could win tickets, autographed balls and a halftime appearance.
