Pamplin Media launches Web sites
New localnewsdaily.com site is a source for daily area-wide news; Tidings site gets update
There's a new daily newspaper in town.
Starting this week, West Linn along with Portland and its many suburban communities have a daily source of news that will serve them with a constant stream of relevant and immediate information that matters most to local residents.
But don't look in the news rack for this particular newspaper. It can be found online at localnewsdaily.com. In addition, we have revamped the Tidings' Web site and changed Web providers. The Tidings' site can be accessed from the localnewsdaily site or at www.westlinn tidings.com.
The Web sites are jointly produced by the combined resources of the West Linn Tidings, Community Newspapers, Portland Tribune and AM 860 KPAM - all locally owned by Pamplin Media Group.
The combined effort of these news staffs - the second largest news-gathering organization in Oregon - will provide the most immediate local reporting to give Portland-area residents the best comprehensive source of news, sports, features and entertainment information. In addition, breaking national and international news will be available online through KPAM's partnership with the Associated Press.
Meanwhile, Pamplin Media Group will still publish and distribute local weekly, twice-weekly and monthly newspapers.
