Judith W. Jolly

Gresham resident Judith W. Jolly, 69, died Sunday, July 2, in Clackamas. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 8, at Living Word Fellowship, 12700 S.E. Orient Drive, Boring. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 8, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd., Gresham.
Judith was born April 16, 1937, in Cincinnati to J. Opie and Mary (Buck) Elliott. She was raised and educated in Cincinnati, where she graduated from Walnut Hills High School in 1955. She continued her education at Western College for Women in Oxford, Ohio, and graduated in 1960. In 1969, she moved to Canby, and in 1978, earned a master's degree from Lewis and Clark College in Portland.
Judith taught first-grade at Mulino Elementary School for 29 years. She was retired.
In 1994, she moved to Gresham, and on Nov. 18, 1995, she married James Jolly in Portland.
Judith was a member of Living Word Fellowship and participated in the Portland Singing Christmas Tree for four years. She enjoyed painting, writing, quilting, photography, gardening and music.
Survivors include her husband of Gresham; stepsons; Ken Jolly of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Jeff Jolly of Los Alamitos, Calif.; stepdaughters, Phyllis Huffman of Avon, Ohio, Helen Kleczymski of Portage, Mich., and Cynthia Wallace of Whidbey Island, Wash.; sisters, Marci Flint of Whitesboro, Texas, and Susan Lamm of Trophy Club, Texas; and 16 grandchildren.
