Deli on Scholls Ferry Road robbed Monday night

WASHINGTON COUNTY - Washington County Deputies responded to the Lucky Dog Deli located at 4714 S.W. Scholls Ferry Rd. July 10 at about 9:30 p.m. on a report of a robbery given to dispatchers.

WCSO spokesman Sgt. David Thompson said the suspect fled with an amount of cash, and is still at large as of Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call from the clerk who, according to Thompson 'reported that a man demanded money from her, and she complied.'

The name of the clerk was disclosed by the WCSO.

A Washington County K9 tracking dog was used to search for the suspect, but he was not located. The clerk was not harmed during the robbery.

Thompson said the suspect displayed a silver handgun during the robbery and demanded money from the clerk.

The gun is described as a silver semi-automatic handgun with a black stripe on the back of the grip. The suspect, who fled with $1,600 in cash, is described as a white male adult, 40-55 years old, 6'0' tall, 170-180 pounds, and was wearing a red baseball cap and blue jeans with a black belt. He has dark hairy arms and a slim, long face.
