Cole Gillespie and Bill Rowe (Milwaukee) have signed contracts - Gillespie reaping a bonus of $417,500 - and will be assigned to the Brewers' Rookie League team in Helena, Mont.
Pitcher Kevin Gunderson has signed with Atlanta and expects to begin with the Braves' Danville, Va., Rookie League team.
Center fielder Tyler Graham has signed with San Francisco and soon will start play with the Giants' Salem-Keizer Northwest League club. 'I'm very excited to be playing near Corvallis,' Graham says. 'It'll be fun playing in a familiar area with a lot of Oregon State fans around.'
Pitcher Jonah Nickerson expects to sign next week with Detroit and probably will start at Lakeland, Fla. Second baseman Chris Kunda has signed with the Yankees and will begin at Staten Island, N.Y. No word yet on pitcher Dallas Buck, third baseman Shea McFeely (both with Arizona) or pitcher Jon Koller (NY Mets).
Mike Stutes (Yarmouth-Dennis), Eddie Kunz, Mitch Canham and Joe Paterson (all three with Falmouth) are playing in the Cape Cod Amateur League. Mark Grbavac, Greg Keim and Daniel Turpen (all with Palmer Miners) are pitching in the Alaska Baseball League.
