Church offers Aug. 13 clothing exchange
Wood Village Baptist Church, 23601 N.E. Arata Road, hosts a clothing exchange from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13.
For each item of clothing donated - in good condition, laundered and stain-free - you get another item free. Items also can be purchased for 25 cents each.
Donations will be accepted between church services, from 10:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, and from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall on Thursday, Aug. 11, and Friday, Aug. 12.

Children's event set for Aug. 7 at Adventist Church
Sunnyside Seventh-day Adventist Church will transform Ventura Park, at the corner of Southeast Stark Street and 115th Avenue in Portland, into a miniature 'town' for children from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.
The event will inspire children of all ages to 'become great citizens through learning opportunities, along with light-hearted entertainment.'

Orthodox church to host fundraiser
St. Joseph of Petersburg Orthodox Church fundraiser, 27950 S.E. Haley Road, Boring, will host a barbecue fundraiser from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7.
The event features church tours, music and a bake sale.
