Tigard moves to buy 4 acres on Bull Mountain

The site would be used for an underground reservoir

TIGARD - The City Council voted 5-0 Tuesday to approve a purchase agreement for the 4.13-acre Cach property on Bull Mountain for $2.2 million.

The area includes four tax lots off Sunrise Lane at the 550-foot elevation, where the city plans to construct a 2 million-gallon reservoir that will be mostly buried underground.

According to Public Works Director Dennis Koellermeier, the site is the only one available for a reservoir to serve that area.

The city has been in negotiations with the Cach family for several months, and Koellermeier said they would like the sale to close this week.
