Road rage charges loom
Lake Oswego Police say criminal charges are pending in a road rage incident Saturday evening involving two men at the intersection of Kingsgate Road and Melrose Street.
Lake Oswego Police Capt. Don Forman said one man suffered injuries to the face in an altercation, apparently stemming from a dispute over driving habits.
Forman said both men got out of their cars after one tailed the other to the intersection. The injured man was a passenger in the first car, driven by a female friend.
'There might have been erratic or inattentive driving by car No. 1 that for some reason infuriated the following car,' Forman said. 'There were some injuries as the result of one or more blows.'
Forman said police discourage motorists from getting out of their cars during disagreements on the road. If there is a problem, he said, call the police.
