Police are working around the clock on the investigation of Gresham's latest homicide, said Sgt. Jeff Hansen, Gresham Police Department spokesman.
The body of a 30-year-old Gresham man, who has been identified as Alejandro Hernando Sanchez, was found at 12:31 a.m. Monday, July 10, in a triplex in the 1100 block of Northeast 162nd Avenue after officers received a report of shots fired, Hansen said.
Hernando Sanchez died of a gunshot wound to the head, Hansen said. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide.
Members of the East Multnomah County Major Crimes Team are investigating the incident under the direction of Gresham police detectives.
