Gresham picks up first AAA win
David Douglas kept its postseason hopes alive at the Class-A district tournament Sunday with a 16-6 win against Sandy. Brian Teague ended the game on the mercy rule in the fifth inning by driving an RBI-single into the outfield. He hit a triple earlier in the game and finished with three RBIs and two runs scored.
Teammate Thomas Rotter scored after each of his four plate appearances, reaching base on two walks, a single and after being hit by a pitch.

Gresham picked up its only tournament victory when pitcher Justin Reeves fired 13 strikeouts for an 11-1 win against Southeast Portland on Saturday. The Gophers dropped their final game 6-4 against David Douglas later that night. Gabe Bradley threw a complete game with seven strikeouts in a losing effort.
