Fairview resident Dorothy G. DeMyer, 73, died Saturday, July 15, in Fairview. A private family service will be held.
Dorothy was born April 2, 1933, in Windsor, Colo., to Theodore and Sarah (Prince) Peterson. She was raised and educated in Windsor, where she graduated from high school.
On Feb. 14, 1959, Dorothy married Charles 'Chuck' DeMyer in Winnemucca, Nev. They made their home in Gresham, where she worked in the billing department at Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center. She retired in 1996.
Dorothy was a member of the Gresham Eagles and Gateway Elks lodges. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, crocheting, camping and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of Fairview; sons, Tom DeMyer of Allendale, Mich.; daughters, Cheryl DeMyer of The Dalles and Jodi Larson of Palmer, Alaska; brothers, Kenneth Peterson of Fort Collins, Colo., and Roy Peterson of Kingston, Texas; sister, Beverly Kistel of Fort Collins; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
