Licensed Massage Therapist Melodi Yost has opened a new practice, Body Mend, at 607 Main St., Suite 240, in Oregon City.

Yost has been in the business for 10 years and moved to Oregon City in January from Woodland, Wash. Last month, she relocated her business from Molalla Avenue to a 600-square-foot office and massage studio downtown.

The name “Body Mend” was inspired by a client who said, “Mend my body please, I come to you hurting and I know you’ll take care of me.”

Yost provides therapy as well as education, so clients can learn to take care of themselves. Her treatments include cranial sacral therapy, Thai massage including pre/postnatal Thai, deep-tissue treatment and body rolling.

“One of my specialties is deep-tissue massage,” said Yost. “Clients hate me now, but love me later, with this type of treatment.”

Body Mend schedules regular sessions, conducts online consultations and has hours for drop-in visits.
