First City Cycles opens new shop

On Saturday, July 21, First City Cycles opened a new bicycle dealership in Oregon City featuring specialized bicycles, repairs, accessories, apparel, parts and tools.

A grand opening celebration is also being planned in mid-August for the store, 916 Main St.

Owner Blane Meier and Store Manager Rick Hanberry will oversee the operations of First City Cycles. Hanberry has more than 10 years of experience in bicycle retailing and mechanics.

“I’m most excited about the quality of the service and sales staff as well as working with a leading brand like Specialized,” said Meier. “We’re filling a great need for the bicycling community.”

First City Cycles also boasts a sales and service team that includes Norm Butler, Tom Dorzweiler, Shayna Haehlen, Jared Bailey, Colene Butler, Lisa Meier and Andy Inlow.

The store’s first 100 customers will receive 5 percent discounts on all accessories, apparel, parts and repairs.

Also, through the end of August, bicycle tune-ups will be $50 (regularly $75).

Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m.
