Milwaukian runs over a 68-year-old from Estacada

Clackamas County deputies says that an Allied Waste Services dumpster truck was backing up in a shopping-mall service corridor road when it hit a man and killed him.

On Tuesday at about 10:36 a.m., police responded to a fatal auto/pedestrian collision at the Clackamas Town Center near the Regal Cinemas entrance. First aid administered at the scene by Clackamas Town Center Security, including CPR and an AED, was unsuccessful on Oct. 9 for Richard D. Luckado, 68, of Estacada.

The driver of the truck was identified as Clay A. Faulkner, 51, of Milwaukie.

Sgt. Adam Phillips said the driver of the truck, Allied Waste Services, and the Clackamas Town Center were cooperating fully with the investigation.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation by CCSO. Clackamas Fire District No. 1 also responded to the scene.
