Lake Oswego resident Kirk Mouser and Sam Drevo, director of eNRG Kayaking in Oregon City, joined the nine-member Tourism Development Council after Clackamas County commissioners recently appointed the two new board members.

Mouser is Stumptown Stages’ founding artistic director, a Portland Community College teacher and chief executive officer of Kirk Mouser Enterprises. He also leads the Clackamas County Arts Alliance Council and serves on the Oregon artPAC Board.

Drevo, a world-champion kayaker, fell in love with the Clackamas and Sandy rivers after nine years as Northwest River Guides’ director. He is vice president of We Love Clean Rivers, a nonprofit that has removed 36,000 pounds of trash out of the Clackamas River.

Danielle Cowan, Clackamas County Tourism & Cultural Affairs’ executive director, and other Oregon City tourism leaders updated the City Commission at its meeting last week.

“I want to compliment the county and its commitment to our visitors center,” said Mayor Doug Neeley. “I know you were going through some hard decisions earlier on as to what you were going to keep and what you were not going to keep, and recognizing the true future benefit that we would have ultimately for the whole county.”
