Crab Fest fundraiser features local artists

From noon to 8 p.m. the Three Rivers Artist Guild will showcase and sell one-of-a-kind locally handcrafted art. Participating artists include Tara Choate, Lynne Collum, Kerin Dimeler-Laurence, Jeannie Hemming, Diane Hillison, Tatiana Isotov, Lea McWhorter, Tonya Meyer, John Miller, Bob Paulson, Terry Rocheleau, Tatiana Rogovsky, Dennis Stafford, Cherilyn Sunridge, Jerilyn Walker and Jude Welter.

Each artist also has contributed to a raffle. Tickets are available for $1.

Two dinner seatings are available, at 4 and 6:30 p.m., with unlimited fresh Oregon Dungeness crab, Asian coleslaw, pasta, crusted bread, beer, wine and soda.

Crab Fest tickets are $50 per person in advance or $55 at the door, with $25 of the ticket price a tax-deductible, charitable contribution toward the preservation and presentation of the history of Clackamas County.

“We had a sellout crowd last year, and we are hoping for an even bigger turnout this year,” organizer Marilyn Morrissey said.

Museum admission is included at no charge. New 2013 exhibits include tributes to 100 years of "Steamboats of the Willamette," "Historic Industries of Clackamas County," and biographies of the county’s early settlers.
