Name that (currently anonymous) park in Clackamas

by: PHOTO COURTESY: CLACKAMAS COUNTY - The new 2-acre neighborhood park at 152nd Drive and Pioneer Drive will have a playground with climbing boulders and swings, a basketball court, picnic shelter and open play areas.Submit a name for the new 2-acre neighborhood park at 152nd Drive and Pioneer Drive, where construction will begin soon on a playground with climbing boulders and swings, a basketball court, picnic shelter and open play areas.

“Neighborhood Park No. 5” needs a catchier name, and through April 11, you can submit your ideas to Katie Dunham, North Clackamas Parks & Recreation District senior planner, at 503-742-4358 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

NCPRD will not have another community open house. The district is working with the owner of the land to acquire and develop the park.

“The comments we received at a community meeting last June were taken into consideration, and the concept plan is complete,” Dunham said. “The current owner, who is also developing the adjacent community of Hidden Falls, will build the park and transfer it to NCPRD at completion.”

Dunham will present the names she receives to the NCPRD Advisory Board, which will then recommend a final name to the NCPRD board (the Clackamas County Board of Commissioners).

More information about the District Advisory Board meetings, which are open to the public, is available at ncprd.com.
