The North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce will host the State of the Schools Forum Luncheon on Wednesday, May 22.

North Clackamas School District Superintendent Matt Utterback will talk about the successes, challenges and goals that lie ahead. Leaders say the district’s relationship with the community and business plays an essential role in helping students be successful.

Topics will include new higher standards for all students, more effective instructional practices, potential local impacts of the governor’s initiatives, advancing literacy at the heart of successful student careers, equity for each student, and fiscal responsibility.

The Chambers Forum Luncheon event is sponsored by North Clackamas School District and the Clackamas Review. Lunch is from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Sabin-Schellenberg Center at 14450 S.E. Johnson Road. Registration of $30 for members/$35 for nonmembers is at yourchamber.com.
