North Clackamas Chamber to honor award winners

The North Clackamas County Chamber of Commerce will honor three exceptional business people and one outstanding company as part of its annual Awards and Installation Banquet.

Marc Burnham of American Medical Response will be honored as the Business Person of the Year. Oregonians Credit Union will be recognized as Business of the Year. Chip Sammons of Holistic Pet Center will receive the Irwin Adams Lifetime Achievement Award. Following tradition, the final award, the Rohn Bly Memorial Volunteer of the Year, will remain secret until the presentation.

Burnham has been an active chamber member for several years and has been involved in many community projects. He is a member of the Chamber board of directors.

Oregonians Credit Union will be recognized for its active involvement in the community. The credit union attends and/or sponsors numerous events in the area and has two staff members who are involved in several chamber committees. Oregonians Credit Union highlights local businesses on their website and encourages shopping locally.

Sammons has been involved in leadership roles at many organizations including, but not limited to, FIDO (founder), Veteran’s Memorial (founder), North Clackamas County Chamber (past chair), Clackamas County Business Alliance, and Exceed Enterprises (past chair).

The business community is invited to honor the award winners at the banquet from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, at Gray Gables, 3009 S.E. Chestnut St., Milwaukie.
