North Clackamas School District will again sponsor a free, federally-funded summer lunch program for kids and teens. The program provides youths with a nutritious lunch and fun activities. Lunches will be provided Mondays through Thursdays. Times and dates vary by site. Adult lunches are available for $3. Oak Grove School will also provide fun, games, and activities provided by the Parks & Recreation Department RecMobile.

Lunches will be served Monday through Thursday at:

Oak Grove School, 2150 S.E. Torbank Road, on July 8 to Aug. 8, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Lot Whitcomb School, 7400 S.E. Thompson Road, on July 15 to Aug. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Rowe Middle School, 3606 S.E. Lake Road, on July 8 to Aug. 1, from noon to 1 p.m.

The Terrace at Mt. Scott, 10125 S.E. Bob Schumacher Road, on July 8 to Aug. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Town Center Station, 8719 S.E. Monterey Ave., on July 8 to Aug. 15, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Lunches will be served Monday through Friday at:

Schellenberg Center, 14450 S.E. Johnson Road, on June 21 to July 19, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Family Support Center to close for summer

North Clackamas Schools has closed the free student clothes closet at Wichita Center for the summer. However, it will reopen for families needing back-to-school clothing and school supplies on Aug. 20. Those who wish to donate school supplies or volunteer during the August back-to-school rush should contact Shelly Carmona at 503-353-5663.

Families who need assistance can visit the center at 6031 S.E. King Road in Milwaukie from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Families who need assistance during the summer months can access a free lunch program for youths age 1 to 18, sponsored by the North Clackamas School District. Locations include the Sabin-Schellenberg south campus, Lot Whitcomb School, Oak Grove School, Rowe Middle School, The Terrace at Mt. Scott apartments, and Town Center Station apartments. Garage sale leftovers needed

The Gladstone Education Foundation would like your garage-sale leftovers that could be used at a large garage sale the foundation will be hosting in 2014.

All of the proceeds will be going to the foundation to help with needs and growth for the education of our kids in the Gladstone community.
