Babysitter sex investigation continues

The man accused of luring 13-year-old girls to his east-of-Milwaukie apartment, plying them with alcohol, handcuffing them and then sexually assaulting them was arraigned on multiple charges Wednesday.

Brandon Murdock James appeared by video in a Clackamas County courtroom as the investigation surrounding the case continues. James, 24, also babysat children in the area, and authorities are concerned there are more victims.

Parents in the Heatherbrae Commons apartment complex on Southeat Bell Avenue are disgusted.

Angela Clark lives just a few doors away from James at the apartments and said she knows one of the victims.

“He just seemed like someone they can hang out with and run to about problems,” Clark told KOIN 6 News. “I guess that was his way of luring them.”

Deputies said teens who live in the apartment complex called James’ apartment “the party house.” Deputies also said they found child pornography on James’ computer.

He is being held on $500,000 bail.
