OC bike shop burglarized

On Thursday morning at 6:10 a.m., First City Cycles at 916 Main St., Oregon City, was burglarized.

Two suspects, wearing baggy pants and hoodies, reportedly smashed through the glass on the front door before cutting the lock on a $3,800 carbon-fiber Crux and making their getaway.

Police arrived eight to 12 minutes after the alarm went off.

“This was a brazen attack — not just on our bike shop, but on our community,” said First City Cycles Owner Blane Meier. “Hopefully fellow citizens will be able to help us find the thieves. It’s very difficult for thieves to sell a high-end bike on e-Bay or Craigslist without being noticed.”
