“Carolyn Tomei is a recognized leader in her state, and we are excited that she will now share her leadership skills with other women policymakers throughout the country,” said Marjorie Maginn, executive director of Women In Government.

Tomei will be attending the organization’s 20th annual conference in Phoenix Jan. 2 to 4 with other members from around the country.

“I’m very excited about the chance to learn from other women leaders from around the country and to share our experience in Oregon,” Tomei said.

Women In Government is a national, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization serving 1,791 women in state legislatures from across the country with conferences on health care reform, energy policy, cervical-cancer prevention, childhood obesity, diabetes, economic security and opportunities, and many other topics.
