MPD cadets ask for fundraiser donations

Milwaukie Police’s cadet program is asking for the community’s help for an upcoming fundraiser.

If community members have gently used household, yard or garden items they wish to donate for the yard-sale fundraiser Sunday, June 22, bring the goods to the Milwaukie Police Department during business hours 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Donations will be accepted through Monday, June 16.

For questions on what kinds of items are needed, contact cadet advisers Officer Hill at 503-502-6553, Officer Smith at 503-593-6663 or Officer Rogerson at 503-593-6554.

Milwaukie Police cadets will be hosting the yard-sale fundraiser from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Public Safety Building, 3200 S.E. Harrison St., Milwaukie.

Money raised will be used to purchase new equipment for the youth volunteers and help the cadets participate in future training/competition events. Cadets commit thousands of hours of volunteer work every year to help the Milwaukie community.
