Fire in Clackamas ruled arson
Clackamas firefighters determined that the Wednesday morning multi-vehicle fire was started intentionally shortly before 3 a.m. in the area of the business RAM Express.
Called to 117th Avenue and Jennifer Street in Clackamas on a possible commercial fire, arriving firefighters reported multiple vehicles on fire in the parking lot in very close proximity to the building. Crews were able to quickly extinguish and confine the fire to only the vehicles involved, with minimal damage to the building. No injuries were reported.
Fire investigators on scene Wednesday determined the cause of this fire to be arson, with early damage estimates of over $250,000. Clackamas Fire District investigators will be partnering with the Oregon State Police and the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office for the remainder of this ongoing investigation. The public is asked to call the Clackamas Fire Prevention Office at 503-742-2660 if they have any information related to this incident.
