North Clackamas teachers, district reach tentative labor pact
The North Clackamas School District and its teachers union have reached a tentative two-year agreement on a labor contract.
Details of the agreement will be released once it is ratified in the next few weeks by the members of the educators association and the North Clackamas School Board.
Superintendent Matt Utterback and NCEA President Deb Barnes both pointed to collaborative bargaining as a positive and successful approach toward reaching the agreement.
District officials said the same approach would be used when the district continues meeting with representatives of the Oregon School Employees Association chapter 71, which represents classified staff.
