Milwaukian hit by car while cycling on King Road
Milwaukie police didn't issue any citations after an 18-year-old cyclist turned in front of a 62-year-old driver and was hit from behind at about 4:30 p.m. Sept. 30.
Through the investigation, police determined both the vehicle and the cyclist were traveling west on King Road near 47th Avenue, when Tryllian Johnson-Kelsey-Green turned her bicycle out of the bike lane without signaling or looking over her shoulder. She was hit by the front of Karen Allbee's vehicle.
Johnson-Kelsey-Green taken by American Medical Response ambulance to Milwaukie Providence Hospital with what police characterized as "minimal injuries." She was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
Police said that Allbee was uninjured and cooperated with the investigation.
