Two local basketball players, La Salle senior Jacob McGraw and Putnam senior Deshawn Stephens, have been nominated to play in the 2013 McDonald’s All-American Games in Chicago.

They are among 29 players nominated from Oregon, including 24 males and five females.

Lake Oswego senior Calvin Hermanson was also selected.

The selections were made by high school coaches, athletic directors, principals and members of the McDonald’s All-American Games Selection Committee.

The nomination recognizes players for “their hard work and dedication as young student-athletes,” according to a press release.

The final roster of 24 boys and 24 girls will be announced during the McDonald’s All-American Games Selection Show on ESPNU at 2 p.m. on Feb. 14.

The 36th annual girls All-American Game will be held at Chicago’s United Center at 6 p.m. on April 3. The boys game will follow at 8:30 p.m. Both games will be broadcast live on ESPN.
