FOREST GROVE – A torrent of first half scoring for Pacific proved the difference last Thursday as the Boxers scored eight goals in the first 17 minutes of the game en route to a 15-10 victory over Puget Sound in women’s lacrosse.

The Boxers (6-4) built a 5-0 lead over the first nine minutes of the contest and found themselves up 8-1 with 13:30 left in the first half.

The Loggers tightened up on both ends of the field in the second 30 minutes, coming within 10-7 on Rachel Silva’s goal with 8:54 to go before the Boxers scored four straight to close the door.

Junior Kaitlyn Harper (Oregon City) led Pacific with six goals, four of which came in the second half.
