Oregon City High School graduates Trevor Ferguson and Greg Skipper had a phenomenal run at the 2013 Pac 12 Conference Track and Field Championships, held at the University of Southern California over the weekend.
Ferguson scored in three events, placing second in the long jump with a leap of 24-6-1/4, third in the high hurdles in a personal record time of 14.32, and seventh in the triple jump with a leap of 48-0-1/2.
Skipper earned second place in the hammer throw with a lifetime best throw of 222-6. His effort was just four inches back of the winning toss by USCs Remy Conaster.
Both Ferguson and Skipper compete for the University of Oregon and they helped the Ducks run away with the Pac 12 mens team title. Ferguson scored 16 of Oregons 149-1/2 points. USC men scored 108 and finished second.
