OREGON CITY — Derrick Elkins of Milwaukie scored a double eagle on the par 5 eleventh hole at Stone Creek Golf Club during a men’s club tournament on June 15.

Elkins used his driver and a 5-iron to scored a two on the hole. His score for 18 holes was 75.

It was not only Elkins’ first double eagle, it is likely the first double eagle ever shot on the hole.

“This is our eleventh season and to the best of my memory, it’s the first double eagle on the eleventh hole,” said club professional Ted Westling.

Jonathon Wease of Gladstone, Thomas Yates of Clackamas and Kerry Belleisle of Portland witnessed the double eagle.
