OREGON CITY — The Portland Raiders semi-pro football team kicked the Yakima Mavericks 27-0 on Saturday in a first-round game of the Pacific Football League playoffs.

With the win the PFL South Division champion Raiders improved their record to 10-1 on the 2014 season.

The Raiders will host a second-round playoff game with the Portland Monarchs (6-5) at 6 p.m. Saturday, July 19, at Oregon City Pioneer Stadium. Admission to Saturday’s playoff game is $10 for adults and $7 for students. Children 12-and-under are admitted free.

It will be the third game between the two teams this season. The Raiders won the earlier games, 24-6 and 24-7.

The Monarchs defeated the Bellingham Bulldogs in last Saturday’s first round.

Raiders quarterback Russ Schneider, a 2001 graduate of Oregon City High School, this season has completed 226-of-409 passes for 3,717 yards and 51 touchdowns, with 14 interceptions.
