Helping Hands Home Care NW recently moved from Southeast Powell Boulevard to 6901 S.E. Lake Road, Suite 22, in the Lake Plaza building.

Company President Toby Forsberg has about 60 employees, many of whom reside in and around the Clackamas and Southeast Portland areas.

“In a growth industry and with the expansion we have seen recently, it only made sense to move into a larger facility that would accommodate our operations well into the future,” Forsberg said. “And frankly, we have found that Clackamas County is more business-friendly.”

Helping Hands provides in-home care services to the elderly and disabled throughout the Portland area. Forsberg says his company’s model of providing world-class care is key to its success. Care, consistency, cost, communication and coordination, something he refers to as the five “Cs,” are paramount to ensuring the highest levels of care.

“We are dealing with a vulnerable population that relies on skilled caregivers who provide everything from the basic shower to medication administration and transfer assistance. We are a ‘comprehensive’ licensed agency with a registered nurse on staff that needs to adopt best practices to fulfill our mission of enhancing the quality of life of our clients at home,” Forsberg said.

Helping Hands can provide services from one hour to round-the-clock care.

Forsberg added, “Personality profiles, knowing your caregivers and having in-depth interviews with clients are key to ensuring the clients and caregivers have fulfilling experiences.”

Helping Hands is currently accepting all levels of clients for services ranging from personal care, such as housekeeping and meal preparation, to medication administration and nursing services.
