The Promontory Park and Marina was closed just before Labor Day and will remain closed for the remainder of the season due to a violation of rules by the person operating the concessions.

The boat launch and docks remain accessible through Oct. 31, and the campgrounds remain open until Sept. 16.

“It boils down to the fact that the individual operating the concession hadn’t conformed to the rules of his contract and so we terminated it,” Steve Corson of PGE said. “There’s not a whole lot to say.”

PGE regrets any inconvenience that this has caused anyone.
